What members see

The membership card is a pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Members add it with one tap from an email or a text. At the door they open Wallet the way they already open boarding passes and tickets — not a studio app they forgot to install.

Staff do not hunt for a plastic card in a gym bag. The pass is on the phone that walked in.

Member pass

Apple Wallet membership pass.

Your brand, both wallets

Put your logo, colors, and fields on the pass. Preview the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet versions before you send a single invite. Members on iPhone and members on Android get the same studio identity, not a generic barcode.

Plastic cards go stale the moment a name, photo, or expiry date changes. A wallet pass is a live object: member data, expiry, and location updates push to the pass already on the phone. You do not reprint, mail, or laminate a replacement.

  • Your brand on the pass: logo, colors, and fields. Preview the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet versions before you send.
  • Delivered by email or SMS: one tap to add to Wallet. Bulk import when you're moving a whole roster.
  • Stays current: member data, expiry, and location updates push to the pass. No reprint.

Email, SMS, and a roster cutover

Deliver each pass by email or SMS. One tap adds it to Wallet. When you are leaving plastic or another system, bulk import the roster and send passes in a batch instead of typing every member by hand.

If someone changes phones, staff resend the pass from the member record, or the member taps the original message on the new device. There is no FlowPass member app to reinstall.

The pass is not a silo. It hangs off the same person who signed a digital waiver and who will appear in the door scanner as a green admit — not as a name search at class change.

What this replaces on the bill

Plastic membership cards and lost-card replacements are two line items studios keep paying because the card cannot update itself. FlowPass Starter is $79 a month for up to 500 members and includes the wallet pass, the waiver, and check-in. Pro is $149 a month for unlimited members, API access, and advanced analytics. Both billed monthly.

Illustrative category pricing on the homepage puts plastic cards and replacements against that Starter price. Your print shop will differ. The product point is the same: the pass does not need a reprint cycle.

Studios that already run Mindbody, Square, or Stripe keep those on Starter. The wallet pass is not a new membership billing system — it is the card the member holds after billing has already happened elsewhere, or inside FlowPass if you use it that way. Zapier, webhooks, and API access stay on Pro for teams that need the pass to talk to the rest of the stack.

Wallet pass questions

Do members need to download an app?

No. The pass installs in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with one tap from an email or text. There is no FlowPass member app to download.

What happens when a member changes phones?

Staff can resend the pass from the member record. Members can also tap the original email or SMS again on the new phone.

Can I still use plastic cards?

You do not need plastic for FlowPass check-in. Members walk in with the pass already on their phone. Reprints and lost-card fees are the cost the wallet pass is built to remove.

How do expiry and name changes reach the pass?

Updates push to the installed pass. You do not reprint a card when a membership date or a field on the record changes.

Can I move a whole roster at once?

Yes. Bulk import supports a cutover from plastic or another system, then each person receives a pass by email or SMS.
